Caitlin Bailey, MABC, LPC Associate
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
(469) 943-2452
As a counselor, my heart is to help teens, adult individuals, and couples work through challenging circumstances and see those difficulties in light of God’s heart for them. I believe that healing comes through Christ alone and that the Lord draws near to those who are brokenhearted and makes His presence known to them. My practice also benefits from the wisdom and experience of my supervisor, Julie Northam, MS, LPC-S. I believe that beginning the counseling process is one that takes immense courage and strength and I am eager to see how the Lord works in your life during this season.

Online Counseling – Mon & Tue
With compassion and gentleness, I will listen to your story and the concerns that led you to pursue counseling. Together we will establish goals for your treatment and determine the best steps to meet those goals, with God’s help. I offer professional Christian counseling for teens, adult individuals, and couples facing a variety of challenges including relationship issues, depression, addiction, abandonment issues, eating disorders, and much more. You don’t have to struggle alone. “With God, all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26) – including your healing and recovery. Take the first step toward wholeness in Christ today.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
As your counselor, my main goal is to walk alongside you as you explore and discover new things about yourself. I want to provide a space where you can be authentic and honest about your life. I also hope to encourage you in your relationship with the Lord, speaking truth that comes from His Word and helping you to see yourself in light of who you are because of what Christ has done.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I desire to provide a space where you can feel safe to share authentically and honestly what is on your heart, knowing that you will be met with an abundance of compassion, grace, and genuine care. In our initial sessions, I will spend time getting to know your story and learning about your goals for our time together. After the first initial sessions, I like to begin the sessions by asking if you have anything from the week that is pressing that you want to talk about and do a quick check-in. Then I like to have planned what I would like to discuss to help you move forward with your goals. You are always open to talk about something else, I just like to plan sessions with intention so our time does not seem aimless.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I believe that healing is found in Christ alone. This informs my practice by knowing that while am I clinically trained, I am first and foremost a disciple of Jesus, and hope and healing will never deviate from what is laid out in His Word. Scripture is imperative to my practice and is integrated into sessions. A Christian approach to counseling is unique in that while our experiences are personal to us, the truth about our identity and where healing is found is not relative but rather comes from God.
Qualifications & Experience
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UT Arlington and a Master of Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and certified in the Prepare and Enrich curriculum (a tool for pre-marital counseling).
My Call to Christian Counseling
My undergraduate studies prepared me to be a nurse. I am such a science geek and loved learning about the body processes. While working as a nurse, I had the opportunity to get certified to give chemotherapy and began doing that in the hospital. This required me to spend a lot of one-on-one time with patients, sitting at their bedside and getting to know them. I realized that the mind and body connection is inseparable and that while these patients needed physical healing, they also needed emotional and spiritual healing in their lives. I loved getting to hear their stories and be a person that they opened up to. I also have been personally impacted by my own experience with biblical counseling, so I just felt a calling by God to pursue this career path.

Abandonment and Neglect
God designed us to be communal beings, giving and receiving care for one another, encouraging one another, and sharing life’s burdens. Unfortunately in our fallen world, many of us have experienced abandonment and neglect and have felt unwanted or without a sense of belonging. This can lead to a distrust of others, low self-esteem, or translate to our view of God. No one knows more about abandonment than Christ. We have a high priest who can sympathize with us. In working with you, my desire is to help root you in the truth of who God says you are, helping you confidently walk out relationships with others and live according to that truth and not life experiences.
Depression
Depression is a common experience for many on this side of heaven. Depression is a result of the brokenness in our fallen world and is a thief of joy. My hope is that by digging into root causes and exploring life circumstances, together we can work to reframe thoughts, incorporate lifestyle changes as needed, and begin to see beauty in life again. I believe that God is so near and empathizes with you in your sorrow. I also believe that He will once again restore your joy.
Eating Disorders
There are so many confusing messages all around us that communicate that human worth is tied to physical appearance. I approach eating disorders from an understanding that while on the surface it seems a desire to look a certain way is the driving factor, there are usually deeper roots. I want to help you uncover and uproot what is not from God and replant identity with who God says you are. This process is one that I realize takes a lot of time, and progress is not always linear. I want to be there every step of the way.
Sex and Porn Addiction
God created us to exist as sexual beings without shame, selfishness, or abuse. Unfortunately, we live in a broken world where our sexuality and experiences are also broken. In working together, my goal would be to uncover what is underneath the addiction. I believe that there is something that we are searching for and unable to find and our addictions meet that need temporarily. My desire is to help explore the root of addiction and help you understand yourself and your life circumstances in light of God’s promises and who He says you are. There is so much grace, and shining light on dark places makes the darkness flee.
Spiritual Development
Sometimes in life, our circumstances provide fertile ground for us to feel disconnected in our relationship with God and we can find ourselves feeling spiritually depleted. My hope is that this counseling space would be a safe and non-judgmental place to explore your relationship with God and be encouraged in your spiritual development. I believe that God invites our questions and that exploration will only lead to a deeper and richer faith. I would love to walk alongside you and be part of your spiritual development as you process your life and circumstances in light of God’s truth.

Testimonials
I have seen a few different counselors and one thing I’ve learned is you definitely want one who can genuinely make you feel comfortable and understood which is surprisingly hard to find. Also having a counselor filled with the Holy Spirit (if you’re looking for Christian counselors) so they can lead you with their counseling skills AND the guidance of gods spirit (more important IMO). Caitlin fills both requirements and I recommend her services!!
