McKinney – Tue, Wed & Fri
Online Counseling – Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu & Fri
As your counselor, I will listen attentively with grace and compassion as you express your needs and wants for therapy. Using specific training and experience from a faith-based approach, I will provide crucial feedback to help you become aware of new perspectives and expand your perceptions. This can lead to healing as you break free from unhelpful thought patterns and establish healthier habits for personal and relational growth. Depending on your unique situation, I will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan based on proven therapeutic techniques to help you experience the growth and positive changes you desire.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
One of my goals as your counselor is for us to work together to establish treatment goals that are your own, things or issues that you need and want to address. Through various assessment tools, therapeutic strategies, discussions, and consistency, we will monitor progress to allow for adjustments in treatment to help you experience growth. This will ensure we continue to make strides in your mental wellbeing, and you see the changes you set out to achieve when you decided to seek help.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
In our first session, I will work with you to identify your individual goals. From there, I will go at your pace while also gently nudging you along the path of health, just as Christ does with us. After establishing a starting point, in subsequent sessions I will remind you of your growth along the way, as it can be easy to become discouraged by a lack of perceived progress. Through empathy and encouragement, you can expect to be cared for as well as stay motivated throughout our time together.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
As a Christian counselor, I seek to follow the example of the Lord Jesus Christ to the best of my ability. In a counseling setting, this includes walking with my clients at their pace, offering unconditional grace, expressing empathy, compassion, and encouragement, gently nudging them toward growth, and pointing clients toward the hope that is found in Christ. My aim is that through our time together, you will emerge from whatever darkness has surrounded you and see glimmers of light and hope.
Qualifications & Experience
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of North Texas and a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am Certified in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have also completed training in couples therapy.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I was called to a career in counseling by the Holy Spirit. I often spend time in reflection and felt led to “help the children.” I took some time to determine what the Lord meant by this (what field and what role), then determined I was meant to help children and their families via their mental well-being. This has since expanded to all ages, individuals as well as couples.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I enjoy traveling (both Stateside and abroad). I also enjoy the outdoors (fishing and hunting) and just about every sport (yard games included) with few exceptions. Being active is important to me. I also enjoy history, TV and movies, and new experiences with family and friends.

ADHD
In working with clients who have been diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), I will begin by understanding where the client is starting from. What do they know about the diagnosis? What are the symptoms they are aware of? What have they tried up to this point? From there, I can gain context to educate the client on areas in which they may have knowledge gaps as well as provide compassion in those more difficult areas to accept. Using a compassionate approach, my aim is for you to become empowered so you can use the lessons, techniques, and strategies learned in counseling to improve your life outside the counseling office.
Couples Counseling
In working with couples, I will start by seeking to gain an understanding of where they are regarding presenting struggles, awareness, strengths, and goals. Using my training and proven therapeutic techniques, we will work together to establish a realistic path to healing, relying on the Lord for grace and strength.
Men’s Issues
As your counselor, I will listen to your story, including your background and current struggles and issues. We will work together to establish an individual treatment plan catered to your situation and circumstances, and take practical steps to help you achieve your desired goals.
Sex and Porn Addiction | Chemical Dependency
I use techniques, tools, and strategies including Smart Recovery, Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients with their journey toward overcoming addiction.
Trauma
If you have experienced hardships from trauma, I will work with you to normalize your experiences, educate you about the nature of trauma and what to expect, and help you recover and heal through proven therapeutic models, taking steps forward at your pace and with God’s enabling.
